    Vishwanath Buddhika Keerthisena (Boodie) has completed shooting his third Cinematic Creation Nimnayaka Hudakalawa (Solitude in a valley).

    Malani Fonseka will attend the 18th Brisbane International Film Festival in early August, where "Akasa Kusum" has been nominated for the International Critics FIPRESCI Award.   • Akasa Kusum Music Video Released

    Nilendra Deshapriya Productions has just released a music video for the song 'Akasa Kusum.'

    The song, which can be heard in the film's soundtrack, was written by Upul Shantha Sannasgala with music by top Sri Lankan musican/producer Ranga Dasanayaka.

    “Akasa Kusum (Flowers of the Sky),” has been jointly awarded the NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film at the third Cines del Sur Festival in Granada. “Akasa Kusum” shares the award with “Before the Burial,” by Iranian director Behnam Behzadi.     Prasanna Vithanage’s latest film “Akasa Kusum” (Flowers of the Sky) was recently picked up by American distributor for the sales rights.

    Wonderphil Productions, an independent US-based film distribution company signed an agreement with Sarasavi Cineru for the world sales distribution rights for the film.
